Fila x Packer Shoes x Larry Johnson | kickzpro.com
The atmosphere at Packer Shoes in Teaneck New Jersey is just what you would think it would be if you are familiar with the family-run business is celebrating its 100 anniversary this year, as there was an unmistakable sense of excitement and community the crowd that crammed to meet Larry Johnson. Freshness recently did a full-fledged article on the history of the famous sports shoe boutique, and their commitment to culture heritage and sport is once again Tuesday night as his collaboration with Fila (also celebrating a century very soon) for a Larry Johnson-themed limited edition model of-you guessed it-100, was released. To commemorate the shoe drop, Larry Johnson was responsible for signing the pictures of him in Row FX-100, which was a shoe ubiquitous on the streets for quite some time, and posters of their own brand of sweet tea cross-promotion.
The night may have been unhappy with the wind and rain of a Nor'easter churn out, but that did not stop a crowd of sneakers and enthusiasts of the New York Knicks overcrowding in the store to claim for photos and limited edition shoes. Along with individual sneaker style with Fila spot "Packer" letters on the back of the tongue and customer staff, also received a care package with a shirt, a copy of the latest Sneaker Freaker, and Packer lots of stickers. Not a bad haul for $ 100. LJ himself was characteristically chatting with the crowd of fans young and old. Check below the pictures to get a sense of family atmosphere in a store with a rich history. Also, stay tuned for a fresh interview with LJ where he expressed his sincere feelings and thoughts about the game on a legendary career.
